Is mobile testing a service, or part of an inspection?
Both — it's how we test. Mobile on-site testing is the technology our technicians use during every visit, whether you've booked a full property inspection or just need a single material checked. It isn't a separate thing you choose instead of an inspection; it's what makes our inspections fast. If you want the whole property assessed, book a Property Inspection. If you'd rather collect a sample yourself, a Postal Sample is the cheapest option. Either way, when we're on-site, the microPHAZIR does the testing.

How on-site testing works
Our technician comes to your property with the mobile testing unit. Suspect materials are scanned with the handheld Thermo microPHAZIR analyzer, which screens for asbestos in seconds — no sanding, no breaking, and only a tiny scrape taken where needed, with the area sealed afterwards. You get an immediate indication on the spot instead of waiting days or weeks for a laboratory.

The microPHAZIR is a professional handheld analyzer that rapidly screens and identifies suspect materials in the field. It lets our technicians give you a same-visit reading rather than sending everything off-site first. It's a screening tool: where a formal, certificate-grade result is required, the sample is confirmed by our NATA-accredited laboratory — and the certificate of analysis is issued the same day.
